Judy Morrill came to the Church of St. Michael and St. George in November of 2025. She grew up in Darien, CT where she attended public schools through 12th grade and was a member of St. Luke’s parish.  Judy has a BA in Political Science and French from Hollins College (now University), in Roanoke, VA, and spent a year in Paris with Hollins Abroad, Paris. She also has an an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.

For over 35 years, Judy has been a portfolio manager for high net worth families and non-profit institutions. She is currently a Partner and Managing Director at independent wealth advisor Silvercrest Asset Management Group.  Prior to Silvercrest, she was at Highmount Capital, Brown Brothers Harriman, and The Bank of New York where she began her began her wealth management career as a summer intern in 1988.

Judy’s past experience serving on non-profit boards includes President of the Hollins University Alumnae Association, and as a Trustee;  Vestry member and member of the finance committee of Church of the Heavenly Rest; Chair of the Investment Committee for the Diocesan Investment Trust of the Episcopal Diocese of NY; and Treasurer of the National Society of the Colonial Dames in New York.

Judy and her husband, Randy Taylor, live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where they raised 3 sons. She was once a competitive runner and triathlete, and can still be found running loops of Central Park several mornings per week. She also sings in the alto section of the Canterbury Choral Society. 

Judy was drawn to the Church of Saint Michael and St. George because of its commitment to preaching and living the Gospel without the interference of politics; for the warm and welcoming community; and for the chance to be part of a growing and vibrant parish.As Senior Warden, Judy  works with the Junior Warden in assisting the Vicar and  with overall leadership of the Vestry and the business and ministry of being the parish. She  can also be a great ear if you have any concerns and source of information if you have any questions. 

Born in Bremerhaven, West Germany to a serving member of the US Navy, Fr Montgomery grew up in Western Pennsylvania where his father's father's family settled in the 18th Century. He attended Episcopal Church schools and summer camp and was formed by "Holy Mother Church" throughout his life. St Edmund's Academy (Pgh) and  St Andrew's School  (Del) he went to St Andrews University (Scotland)  and the General Theological Seminary (NYC). After University, before Seminary, he taught History and coached rowing at the Three Rivers Rowing Association in Pittsburgh and the Baylor School in Chattanooga. Additionally, he was trained as a financial advisor on Wall Street  and served as the Manager of the Investment Management Services Program of the Episcopal Church Foundation where he oversaw the management of  several hundred million dollars of parochial and diocesan funds collectively. 

Ordained in the Episcopal Church in 1998, he has served parishes in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Connecticut, London, and Paris over three decades and currently serves as chaplain of a number of Patriotic and Historical and  Societies that are here in New York and nationally. Additionally he is  a  Priest Associate of the Holy House of Walsingham, a Priest Associate of Holy Cross, and a Priest Guardian of the Shrine of Our Lady of Clemency. 

In 2025 he felt God's calling to continue the Anglican tradition in the Anglican Catholic Church by founding a new church in the heart of Manhattan's Upper East Side - after years of people yearning for a place to worship where all are truly welcome to worship God in Christian fellowship, nurturing their spiritual life and bringing that to the world rather than the reverse which seems to be the norm in main line protestantism today. And so he did and so here we are! 

As Vicar, Fr Montgomery chairs the Vestry and guides its work. If you have ideas or agenda items for the Vestry's consideration - bring them to him. 

Lucius joined the church in November 2025 to enhance his prayer life by taking part in congregational worship and fellowship.  He has been inspired by the dream of this community's full flowering and opportunities for stewardship going forward.

Lucius attended Brooklyn Technical High School as a third generation Brooklynite, then earned BA and Masters degrees in English at SUNY Albany. His first job after school was with the Council on International Educational Exchange, as a Paris-based liaison officer for American student programs in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

His turn toward the film industry began with an eight-year term as English-language press officer at Cannes.  Through his 45 years as a public relations consultant he has  worked at promoting international distribution of films from many cultures, for the purpose of building good will among the peoples of the world.  As Clerk, Lucius' role is outward facing and covers communication both with the outside world , the wider church, as well as internally among members. Merry first attended the Church in October 2025, attracted by its commitment to traditional worship and avoiding political commentary. Baptized as an Episcopalian and a member of St. James Episcopal Church, the Church of Saint Michael and Saint George’s warmth and outreach soon prompted her to make a commitment both to join and support the Church.

A native of Idaho, Merry attended California State University before moving east to Chicago and then New York City, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Finance from State University of New York. After decades as an analyst and portfolio manager, she launched a second career, offering content marketing services to the financial industry.

In addition to her role as vestry member, Merry also serves as the Church’s Treasurer.

Dividing her time between New York City and Palm Beach, Merry enjoys biking, classical music, and gourmet cooking. As Treasurer, Merry oversees the Budget Process, HR, and Cashflow function of the Parish. She also oversees (but does not necessarily personally lead) our Stewardship Team. 

Summer joined the church in the fall of 2025, shortly after moving to New York. She first discovered the parish while walking home from work and felt immediately drawn to it. Originally from Mountain Brook, Alabama, Summer studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She is a singer-songwriter who hopes to pursue music professionally in the future; currently, she works in private dining sales and as a nanny. Outside of music, Summer enjoys going to the gym, running, spending time with friends, and reading. She was raised in the Episcopal Church and has embraced Anglicanism since relocating to New York City. She is especially grateful for Saints Michael & George, which reminds her of her home parish through its strong sense of tradition, welcoming community, and commitment to the teachings of the Bible. Summer is brand new to the Vestry and her responsibilities have yet to emerge!
